MELVIN: Harold age 95 of Swift Current, SK passed away on Tuesday, January 21, 2020 at the Cypress Regional Hospital. Harold is survived by his children Debbie (Dwayne) Fortney and Garry (Brenda) Melvin; grandchildren Genelle Fortney, Andrea Peters, Crystal Lechelt, Chelsea Reeves, Randy Melvin, Dean Schaitel, Ashley Vass and Michael Fortney; as well as several great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his parents John and Mabel Melvin; wife Ella (nee Jensen) Melvin; son Gordon Melvin; sister Evelyn Millar; and brothers Francis, Wilbert, Elburn, Bertal, Walter, Ralph, and Ray. Harold was born on January 13, 1925 in Webb, SK. He was united in marriage to Ella Lillian Jensen on September 6, 1952. Harold went to Prospress Valley School and high school in Webb. He was a farmer in the Webb district his whole life until he retired and moved to Swift Current.
