Harold Hardement Obituary

HARDEMENT: Harold passed away on May 4, 2021 at the Cypress Regional Hospital. He was born on January 26, 1953 to Bob and Margaret Hardement in Ponteix, Saskatchewan. He was the big brother to his twin by 15 minutes. Harold went to Aneroid School then to Kincaid for high school. After graduation he moved to Swift Current where he worked for Beaver Lumber for many years as truck driver then to Home Hardware until his retirement. He married Judy Wall in 1975 and they had 3 daughters. Harold was a man of few words but he had a real sense of humor and when he got going he kept us in stitches for hours! He was very stoic, he had some trying years but kept things to himself, we never knew what he went through, same with his health. In our growing up years Lorne always said Harold was the sensible one. Harold liked sports of all kinds and he loved country music. Alan Jackson was his favorite singer. Harold treasured his 3 girls and was proud of all their accomplishments. He loved his 7 grandchildren to pieces. They called him Grampa Cowboy because he wore cowboy boots. The highlight of his life was making those trips to Edmonton to see all his family! Harold was baptized as one of Jehovah's Witnesses on July 30, 1971 in Saskatoon. He knew the only solution to all problems was God's Kingdom which we all pray for in the Lord's Prayer. He kept that hope in his heart all these years! Harold was predeceased by his grandparents, parents and wife.
He is survived by 3 daughters: Jenny (Aaron), Theresa and Stephanie (Chris); 7 grandchildren Adam, Violet, Elysia, Veronica, Grace, Kaiah and Elianna; 2 brothers Garold and Lorne (Pat); sister Janice (Gerald); nephews Calvin, Robin, Bobby and Kevin; and 3 nieces Crystal, Juanita and Tracy. Harold was the best big brother any little sister could wish for. Rest in peace we will see you in the
resurrection! In Harold's memory, memorial donations may be made to Dr. Noble Irwin Regional Healthcare Foundation Inc. 2051 Saskatchewan Drive Swift Current, SK S9H 0X6.
