Greg Kopperud

Kopperud: Gregory Jerome Kopperud, age 58, of Swift Current, Sk. passed away February 12, 2019 in Swift Current. A memorial service for Greg will be planned at a later date. Greg is survived by his mother Lucille Kopperud; sisters Roxanne (Don) Chesney, Susan (Dwayne) Larson, Joanne Sletten and Carolyn Kopperud, 13 nieces and nephews and 13 great nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his father Don Kopperud; grandparents Grace and Julian Kopperud and Rose and Emile Thibault; brothers Gary and Jeff Kopperud; niece Shannon Johnston and numerous aunts and uncles. Greg was born in Ponteix, Sk. on July 6, 1960. He attended St Pats, Irwin Colligate and Comprehensive High School in Swift Current. Greg worked for several roofing companies, Zellers and then farmed and was self-employed. He enjoyed playing hockey, baseball and judo. In his spare time, he enjoyed going for coffee with his friends. His hobbies included watching T.V. and recording movies on his VCR. His collection of tapes was enormous. Greg was a quiet gentle soul and would help out anyone at any time. He had an overwhelming soft spot in his heart for all creatures great and small. He will be sadly missed by his family and friends.
