Gordon James Aisman passed away peacefully April 11, 2026, at the Meadows in Swift Current, SK. He was born April 15, 1956, in Selkirk, MB.
He is fondly remembered and missed by his wife Brenda of 46 years; his son Richard; his daughter Patricia Ruth (Deric) Cole; and his grandson Everett Cole. Also missing him are his sister-in-law Lianne Kading; brother-in-law Terry (Keely) Kading; his aunt Doreen (Archie) Kirkness and numerous cousins and their families.
He was predeceased by his father, Richard (1972), his mother, Pat (2024), and his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Ben and Pat Kading (2023).
Gordon lived most of his life in Swift Current, attending school here from grades 1 to 12. He went to Medicine Hat College to become a Power Engineer, a job which he loved all his life, even though he changed employers regularly, and which he enjoyed teaching to the next generation in his later years, even returning to his alma mater.
Gordon loved outdoor activities. In his youth, it was archery and Boy Scouts. As an adult, he enjoyed camping, hunting and fishing, especially ice fishing and ocean fishing. In later years, he would spend many hours at the family farm, which he inherited from his uncle Chuck, gardening, mowing, and building a campground.
The family would like to extend their gratitude and many thanks to the staff at Cypress House, especially House 1, where he lived for 1 and 1/2 years, and to the staff at the Meadows, especially House 17, for making his last months pleasant.
A special thank you to all our neighbours and Baha'i friends for their prayers and offers of assistance.
