Gisele was born in Ponteix, Saskatchewan on June 30, 1953, and attended school in Ponteix. On September 16, 1972 she married the love of her life, Raymond St. Cyr, in Ponteix.
Gisele was employed at the Foyer St. Joseph, which she dedicated 40 years to. She pursed her dream in 1993 of opening Kate’s restaurant, and finally able to retire from everyone’s favorite Splitter’s in 2024.
Gisele, better known as Cater, was a pillar of her community, always wanting to support and contribute to all organizations. She was a member of many boards, and still remained on the Ambulance Board, and the CWL. Gisele took immense pride in her family, devoting countless hours driving her children to their sporting activities, and sewing Halloween, skating, and dancing costumes, and even matching sibling outfits. Even though Gisele was devoted to serving her community at Splitters, she always dropped everything to be there for her family and friends. She loved spending any free moment with them, particularly her grandchildren. Cater’s absolute favorite was having family and friends over for games, drinks, and of course no one left with an empty stomach.
She also loved reading, always trying new recipes for her family to test, all would be envious of her large library of recipe books that her family got to enjoy. Her family will miss her homemade cinnamon buns as they were a frequent request from her children and grandchildren. Cater was known for her unwavering faith, kindness, and deep compassion for others. Her warm and caring nature touched everyone who knew her.
