Georgia Kuit


Georgia Carroll Kuit (nee Michell) passed away on Oct 29, 2021 at the age of 73. Georgia was born on June 5, 1948 in Gravelbourg SK.  After a few weeks of declining health, mom passed away peacefully with her friend Bob by her side until the end. Mom and her late husband Hans lived in many communities and made many very close friends. Those friends have been very important to her in the past couple of years, since Hans’ passing. Mom had recently followed her roots back to Hodgeville, where she resided until the time of her passing. Mom was always proud of her children and grandchildren. She just couldn’t wait to show the “Coffee & Cards Crew” the new round of pictures of her great grand-boys, Jasper & Benjamin. Georgia is survived by; her son Derrick (Rachel) Deobald, granddaughters Rebecca (Eli){great grandson Benjamin} Hannah, and Bryn; her son Kelly (Rebecca) Deobald, grandchildren Makonen and Addis; her daughter Nikki (Aaron) Churchman, grandsons Dayton {great grandson Jasper}  and Hayden. Georgia is also survived by her stepson Kevin (Sandra) Kuit, grandson Colton, along with of all of Hans’ extended family, her friend Bob and his family, brother Pat Michell, sister in law Sheila Michell, sister in law Irene (Ken) Smallenberg, as well as numerous nieces, nephews and many great friends.  She was predeceased by her husband Hans, her parents Peg & Leo, her brother Butch, her sister Betty, and infant sister Jeannie.  The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to all of the people who were there for mom.
