Frank Wyatt Obituary

WYATT, James Franklin (Frank), 54, of Regina, peacefully passed away on May 12, 2020 with his loving wife Cheryl at his side.
Frank was born on June 14, 1965 in Kindersley, Saskatchewan, and grew up in Swift Current, Saskatchewan.
Frank is survived by his wife Cheryl, siblings Roy Funk and Linda Hilmoe (Vern), and Linda’s children Melissa Hilmoe-Look (Randy), Tammy Calder (Darren) and Jason Hilmoe (Jodi).
He is predeceased by his parents Jacob and Katherina Funk.
Despite having cerebral palsy from birth, Frank completed elementary, high school and attended the University of Regina for a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science. He had a 32-year career in the field of Information Technology with most of his working years spent with the City of Regina.
Later in life, Frank discovered his literary voice, which generated over 20 short stories. In the last four years of his life, he transitioned to being a blogger and setting up the CerebralMan.com website. During that period, he wrote 30 blog posts, which cover reflections of his childhood memories, fictional stories and commentaries of issues related to a person with a disability.
Frank shared a deep bond with his wife Cheryl (St. Amand) Wyatt who he had been married to for the past 10 years. Frank has expressed a deep appreciation for the St. Amand family, indicating they were the kind of people both his birth parents and the Funk family prayed that he would one day belong to.
Frank has been laid to rest close to the final resting spots of his parents, Jake and Katie Funk, at the Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Swift Current.
