Frank Pribyl

It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Frank Pribyl on November 16, 2022 at The Meadows.  Frank was born April 11, 1932 on the farm in the Cantuar District.  He was the third child of eight born to Wenceslaus (Bill) and Leonie Pribyl.  He attended Velva and Cantuar Schools.  Frank is survived by his wife Betty of 67 years; daughter Brenda (Tim Penner); son Allen (Dorothy); grandchildren: Chris, Sarah, Adam, Shaelyn, and Ryan; siblings: Frances (Ken) Badley, John (Blanda) Pribyl, Thelma Pleckham, Edna Pribyl, and many nieces and nephews.  Frank was predeceased by parents Wenceslaus and Leonie Pribyl; in-laws Joseph and Annie Wharton; siblings: Wilfred and Sylvia Pribyl, Verna and Jack Dowling, Louise and Morven MacKay, Willie Pleckham, Robert Pribyl; in-laws: Eleanor and Bill Heinrichs, and Dorothy Anhorne.  Frank worked for many farms in Cantuar District then at MacWilliam Sash and Door until his health caused him to leave carpentry and went to Eastend Co-op to cut meat then went to work for Swift Current Breweries.  He was a member of the former Grace United Church, and was a member of the First United Church.  He sang in the Barbershoppers, and was a member of F.O.E. Eagles.  Frank enjoyed bowling, curling, and camping.  He especially loved time spent at the cabin at Lac Peltier, fishing, and enjoyed visitors and campfires.  The family would like to extend a Big 'Thank You' to the staff at The Meadows.  They were dads extended family for the last five years.  In lieu of flowers donations to The Meadows Auxiliary c/o Eleanor Forge Sec/Treasurer, 308-230 Lister Kaye Cres, Swift Current, Saskatchewan S9H 0A1, or to Telemiracle, 3-2217 C Hanselman Crt, Saskatoon, Saskatchewan S7L 6A8.  Warren’s Funeral Home is entrusted with the arrangements.  Arrangements entrusted to Warren's Funeral Home.
