Frances Gerlach

Frances Elaine Gerlach (Anderson), a beloved mother and grandmother, passed away on December 7, 2025, in Regina, Saskatchewan.  Her life was one of family, friends, faith, and good fortune. She was predeceased by her husband, Harvey; she is survived by her three children: Nancy Gerlach, Joan Boey, and Neil Gerlach; as well as five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Born to John and Olga Anderson on January 13, 1937, in the Rush Lake district, Frances grew up on a farm and after completing high school, she married Harvey Gerlach and moved to Swift Current. There, she began her career in the Saskatchewan provincial public service as an administrative assistant.

In 1971, Frances and her family moved to Regina and there she took up employment in the Hansard office of the Saskatchewan Legislature where she happily worked as a supervisor for over twenty years.

Outside of work, Frances was known for her good taste in clothing and a talent for interior decorating. She had a kind heart and a generous soul that enriched the lives of those who knew her.

A memorial service for Frances will be held on Friday, December 19, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. from the Chapel of Warren’s Funeral Home in Swift Current, Saskatchewan with Pastor David Clarke officiating.  Interment will take place at Hillcrest Cemetery immediately following the service.
