Evelyn Plewis

Plewis, Evelyn Caroline was born to Herma and Fred Aspelund on October 6, 1930 in Swift Current, Saskatchewan.  She grew up in Waldeck along with her older brother Harold, and her aunt Mae Gaetz, who was raised with her as a sister.  Evelyn passed away peacefully at House 15 in The Meadows at dawn on September 29, 2020.  She is predeceased by her husband Morris Plewis (2007); her parents Herma and Fred Aspelund; her brother Harold; and her sister (aunt) Mae.  She is also predeceased by her parents-in-law Ellen and Lawrence Plewis; her brother-in-law Leon; her sisters-in-law Margaret Wright, and Evelyn Burgess.  Evelyn is survived by her two daughters: Carol (Steve) Kemp, and Karen (Alan) Plewis McFadzean, along with Carol's children: Kara (Jay) Protz, Rob (Brandy) Kemp, Erin (Noel) Kemp Mushansky, and Megan (Jeff) Blohm; and Karen's children: Korie (Ryan) Seibel, Kristy (Kevin) Lie, and Mark (Tanya) Fryklund; and 17 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by two sisters-in-law, Marnie Plewis and Myrna(Bruce) Wilkinson In the past 10+ years Evelyn has been suffering from the effects of dementia.  This sad, debilitating disease has gradually robbed us of our mother.  We are so grateful to Dr. de Klerk for all the years he cared for mom with love, compassion and respect.  We would also like to thank all the staff in House 15 at The Meadows for their love and care.  Mom loved each and every one of you and always enjoyed your joking banter with her.  As family, we couldn't have asked for more.  We continue to hold dearly all the wonderful memories we have of our mom and grandma, and will treasure them forever.  We love you Mom.  Rest peacefully in the arms of God.  In her memory, donations to the Dr. Noble Irwin Health Care Foundation, 2051 Saskatchewan Dr., Swift Current, SK  S9H 0X6.  Warren's Funeral Home were entrusted with the arrangements.
