Marlin, Evelyn Julia age 83 of Swift Current, passed away on Saturday, September 24, 2022 at Willow Creek Manor. The memorial service was held at 3:00 p.m. on Friday, September 30, 2022 from Memory Gardens Cemetery with Sandra Watson officiating. Ev is survived by her husband Jack Marlin; daughter Cindy and Larry McKetiak; son and daughter-in-law Kevin and Fran Marlin; granddaughter Krista and Kelly Louden (Ava, Harper); granddaughter Kayla and Kole Klassen (Bohdi, Adley); sister Margaret Rogalski; brother Allan and Henrietta Hoblyak; brother Brian and Rose Hoblyak; sister-in-law Roseanne Hoblyak; sister-in-law Bev Robertson; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents Ben and Mary Hoblyak; mother and father-in-law Walter and Bessie Marlin; brother Emil Hoblyak; brother Arthur Hoblyak; brother Eddie Hoblyak; brother Robert Hoblyak; brother-in-law Elmer Rogalski; brother-in-law Barry Robertson; brother and sister-in-law Tom and Sylvia Coulter; sister and brother-in-law Bruce and Betty Jahnke. Ev was born on July 16, 1939 in Kipling, Saskatchewan where she also attended school. She moved to Abbey to work on the Minor Ranch where she met and married the love of her life Jack on April 2, 1959. Ev enjoyed her flower gardens, shopping, baking and cooking, Bronco's hockey, and the 57's baseball and watching curling. Most of all she cherished her visits with her family - children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. Donations to the Heart and Stroke foundation would be appreciated by the family.
