Evelyn Anderson Obituary

EVELYN ALICE ANDERSON
December 31st, 1926 - February 24th, 2022

Evelyn Alice Anderson passed away on February 24th, 2022. She was born to the late Olga & Henry Rosenke on their farm near Flowing Well, Saskatchewan on December 31st, 1926. She was the last survivor of her family of 10 children.

Evelyn came to work in Swift Current and met Ralph Anderson, her husband to be, shortly after. They married in 1948 and lived on the Anderson family farm until 1963, when they moved to Swift Current.  They retired from farming in 1998.

She was predeceased by her husband, Ralph Anderson in 1999, her infant daughter, Shelly Marie, in 1958, and her 20 year old granddaughter, Tara Leigh, in 2000.

As a farmer's wife, Mom worked long hours, always had a huge garden, and contributed immensely to the family's dinner table over the years by canning fruit, vegetables, chicken and beef. She was a great cook, often hosting dinners for friends, family and relatives even into her 90's. She loved having her family and extended family visit, particularly her grandchildren & nieces and nephews. Friends were extremely important to her especially after her husband, Ralph, passed away unexpectedly.

She is survived by daughters Gloria Hall (John Hall) and Gayle DeBoni (Charles DeBoni) and son Steven Anderson (Lynn Anderson), five grandchildren, ten great grandchildren, five step grandchildren and seven great step-grandchildren. Arrangements entrusted to Warren's Funeral Home.
