Baker, Elva Christine age 95 of Ponteix, Saskatchewan passed away peacefully on October 29, 2021. Elva was born on January 4, 1926 and attended Westerleigh School until Grade 10 then attended Convent of Notre Dame to take her Grad 11. She worked in Moose Jaw as a cashier in a store, in Regina at Simpson Mail order, and Fort San, Fort Qu'Appelle. Elva married Earl on July 4, 1953. Her greatest enjoyment were her grandchildren, and great grandchildren. She belonged to the Legion and Royal Purple. Elva enjoyed bowling, curling, square dancing, and travelling. Elva is survived by her three children: Cliff (Alice), Carol, and Kathy; grandson: Ryan (Chalane), Mark (Brittany), Kevin (Carmen), Wade; great grandchildren: Kaiden, Jasper, Taye, Drake, Jake, Jett, Cora, and Emma; two sisters: Bernice Panko, and Elaine Eger; and countless nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Earl in 1987; grandson Travis in 2020 (Tanya in 2001); parents: Joe and Lenzena Gillis; Arthur and Elsie Baker; sister: Laura Gillis; brothers: Jim (Delores) Gillis, Gord Gillis, Stan (Doreen) Gillis; in-laws: Tony Panko, Robert Eger, Tom (Evelyn) Baker, Jim (Gladys) Baker, Cecil Baker, Jerry Baker, Cora (William) Burrell.
