It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Elsie Elena Teulon on January 7, 2026 at the Cypress Regional Hospital in Swift Current, Saskatchewan. Elsie was born in Elk Point, Alberta on November 27, 1931 and spent most of her 94 years in the Waldeck/Swift Current area. The funeral service was held at 2:00 pm on January 13, 2026 from St. Stephen The Martyr Anglican Church, with Reverend Shepherd Munzara officiating. Her son, Todd Teulon, presented the eulogy, Leah Teulon spoke on behalf of the grandchildren and Gloria Teulon and Elizabeth Bernstein did readings. The ushers were Danny Spenst, Jack Chalmers, Dean James and David James.
Elsie is survived by Elizabeth (Brian) Bernstein and granddaughter Sarah; sons Brent (Carla) Teulon and granddaughters Ashton, Brittany and Jodi; Todd (Bethania) Teulon and step-grandchildren Dwayne, Christine, Jennifer and Danielle; Mark (Gloria) Teulon and grandchildren Erica and Leah and step-grandson Lindon; Ward (Jennifer Griffith) Teulon and grandson Samuel; step-sisters Irene Duncan, Patricia Fuller and Laverne Rolf along with numerous great grandchildren nieces, nephews and cousins. Elsie was predeceased by her parents Henri and Lena (Farina) Bourque; Melchior Teulon, the father of her children; brother Sylvester Bourque, grandson Matthew Teulon and step-sister Karen Woods.
She worked tirelessly in the family run service station business in Waldeck and was responsible for much of the business’s success. She was also a major contributor to the success of the family farm, all while raising five children. She truly enjoyed her many winters in Texas and was an outstanding shuffle board player and golfer winning tournaments and trophies throughout the USA, Canada and Australia. She also had a passion for dogs, crocheting/handiwork, puzzles and she loved to watch curling and golf on TV.
Elsie was a devoted mother, grandmother, great grandmother and beloved friend to many. She was known for her kindness, strength, and unwavering love for her family. Her life was marked by compassion, resilience and quiet grace. She touched the lives of all who had the privilege of knowing her.
Though she will be deeply missed, her legacy of love, faith, and devotion will live on in the hearts of her family and friends forever.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to Dr. Gould and the nurses and staff at the Cypress Regional Hospital for their compassionate care and support.
