Ella Melvin

MELVIN: Ella Lilian of Swift Current, SK passed away on April 21, 2019 at the age of 84. A private family service was held on April 27, 2019 from the Chapel of Warren's Funeral Home with Shirley Wilson officiating. Ella lovingly remembered by her husband Harold Melvin; daughter Debbie (Dwayne) Fortney; son Garry (Brenda) Melvin; grandchildren Randy Melvin, Crystal Lechelt, Genelle Fortney, Chelsea Reeves, Ashley Vass, Michael Fortney, Andrea Peters, and Dean Schaitel; great grandchildren Lillian and Bennett Reeves, Ethan and Ellie Peters, Mila and Piper Schaitel, Elayna Melvin and baby Vass due to arrive in June 2019; sisters Edna Jenkins and Norma Hefley; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her parents Mary and Peter Jensen; son Gordon Melvin; and brother John Jensen all of whom resided in Webb, SK. Ella was born at home in the Cantour District on May 17, 1934. She attended Blessom and Webb Schools. She married Harold Melvin on September 6, 1952. Ella was a member of the Horticulture Club of Swift Current and enjoyed sewing, crocheting, painting, gardening, quilting, volunteering at Willow Creek Manor, and the most important to her spending time with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
