James, Elizabeth (Liz) Rowena, 83 years old, of Waldeck, passed away June 28, 2023 at the Clover House in Swift Current. The funeral service was held at St Stephens Anglican Church with Beverley McLean officiating on July 12, 2023 at 2:00 PM. The eulogists were Chris, Darren and Brian James. Ushers were Mark Teulon and Kim Robertson. The internment service will be at a later date. The honorary pallbearers were all the grandchildren; Urn bearer was Triston James. Survived by immediate family: Husband of 65 years, Gordon James; Sons Dean (Cheryl), David (Terry), Greg (Barb), and daughter Donna (Mark). Grandchildren: Chris (Christine), Darren (Nicole), Brian (Susan); Dawson, Ryan (Bianca), Carlene (Tyler); Triston, Samantha (Kyle); Tyson (Chelsee), Nikki (Jeff), Danni (Zac). Great grandchildren: Alandra, Flynn; Claire, Sawyer; Hunter, Carson; Derby, Dot, Alice, Colt, Beau; Aadin; Chace, Ari. Liz was born on September 23, 1939 to Seymour and Almeda Teulon, little sister to Mel. She attended school in Waldeck and completed her Grade 11 and 12 in Regina at Qu’Appelle Diocesan School for Girls. Liz worked hard on the farm alongside Gordon, raising their children, tending to the animals, and always providing meals that were delicious. She planted and tended bountiful gardens and yet found the time to create a beautiful yard and keep a spotless house. She opened their home to so many family members from near and far to enjoy the farm life. Gordon and Liz enjoyed being part of the Good Sam RV Club that took them to multiple destinations with good friends. They were able to spend 17 years travelling in the winters to Texas and then Arizona, creating more friendships and hosting many happy hours. Their adventures also took them on special trips to Alaska and Australia. Grandma never missed crocheting a blanket whenever a new member of the family was on the way! She made everyone feel loved and never forgot a birthday. She was the nucleus, hosting family get togethers with amazing food and baking and usually with extras like Grandma buns for the grandkids to take home. While she was able to, she enjoyed golfing, curling, and even skiing. Throughout the years she attended all the grandchildren’s sports events, Christmas concerts and graduations. She was always there for all of us. Donations can be made to Regina Cancer Patient Lodge at Donate (saskcancer.ca). Thank you to the staff at Clover House for their care and support. Arrangements entrusted to Warren's Funeral Home.
