Edna Hope

Edna Mae Hope (nee Akister) passed away on December 22, 2025 at the age of 77 at The Meadows in Swift Current, Saskatchewan. 

Edna was born on February 9, 1948 in Elrose, Saskatchewan to Ross and Lydia Akister. She, along with her sister Ann, grew up on the family farm at White Bear, Saskatchewan.  

Edna had a successful 34-year career with Saskatchewan Crop Insurance, retiring in 2013. 

Left to mourn Edna are her children Tyler (Sherry Hope) and Kyla Unger (Adrien); their father Dale Hope (Lynne Fox); grandchildren Daylon Hope, Sydney (Wyatt) Everitt, Deserae Unger, Courtlyn Hope, step-grandchildren Cassidy (Lane) Peters and Karsyn Mehler; great grandchild (Harper Hope) and step-grandchildren Raylen and Hayes Peters; sister Ann (David) Brown.

 At Edna’s request, there will be no formal services.
