Dorothy "Dot" Kouri

The family of Dorothy “Dot” Kouri are saddened to announce her passing, at the age of 69, on December 14th, 2024, at Clover House in Swift Current, Saskatchewan.

Dot cherished every moment in life and infused it with vibrancy that resonated deeply with those around her, leaving a lasting impact on everyone she met.  She was a spirited soul who embraced an adventure.  She loved music, dancing and creativity with boundless enthusiasm and will be tremendously missed by all who knew and loved her.

She is survived and much loved by her partner Brenda Switzer; daughter Kim (Patrick) DesRosiers and son James (Melanie) McLeod; her three cherished grandchildren: Tyson DesRosiers, Taylor DesRosiers and Jackson Corbin; her brothers:  Alan (Keitha) Kouri and Jim Kouri; nieces and nephews: Chris (Sherri-Lynn) Kouri, Corrina (Matt) Gates, Carla Kouri, Jenny (Kevin) Morton, and Kevin (Tierney) Kouri; half-brothers: Neil Peters and Tony (Diana) Trautwein and many dear friends. 

Dot is predeceased by her parents Ernest and Ida (Coulombe) Kouri; brother Mickey Kouri; infant brother Joseph Kouri, and sister-in-law Dawna Kouri.

The family wishes to extend their deepest gratitude to the numerous health care professionals who provided care for Dot throughout the last couple years. She treasured the relationships she made, and she always knew she was in caring hands.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, May 31, 2025 at the Coast Hotel in Swift Current, Saskatchewan at 2:00 p.m.  In lieu of flowers, if so desired, donation to the following would be appreciated by the family.
