Doreen Schreiner

Doreen Augusta Schreiner was born in 1934 to parents John and Edna Jansen at Carmichael, SK, and passed away September 16, 2018 at the age of 84 at the Gull Lake Special Care Home. Doreen spent her childhood on the family farm south of Carmichael, attending Bench and Carmichael schools. Doreen married Ken Schreiner on July 22, 1952 in Gull Lake. They moved to the Schreiner homestead in 1954 and farmed until 1993 when they retired to Gull Lake. Doreen was a homemaker, census enumerator, and a member of the Garden Head Ladies Club. Doreen leaves to cherish her memory her husband, Ken, of 66 years; 5 children, Nancy Dahl, Sandra Ross, Terry (Penny) Schreiner, Sherry (Daniel) Roy and Penny Reeder; 10 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and one sister, Myrtle Kettner. Doreen was predeceased by her parents, John and Edna Jansen; brothers, Clinton and Garry Jansen; sister, Adele English; son-in-law, Jerry Dahl; Ken's parents, John and Evelyn Schreiner; and sister and brother-in-law, Mae and Wayne Gershon.
