Donald Lopeter

LOPETER: Donald Lloyd passed away on June 15, 2022. Donald is survived by his wife Donna; daughter Tara (Shaun) Glydon, step sons Murray (Wendy) Weston and Trevor (Theresa) Weston; nine grandchildren; four step grandchildren; two great grandchildren; brother Reg (Marg) Lopeter; sister Val Kromrey; sister-in-law Janice (Guy) Denton; brothers-in-law Wayne (Barb) Sabine, Keith Sabine and Ed Busse; as well as numerus nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his parents Richard and Elaine Lopeter; parents-in-law Leonard and Myrtle Sabine; brothers Richard Lopeter and Wayne Lopeter; sister-in-law Barbara Lopeter; grandparents Bernard and Magdalena Lopeter and Knut and Stella Mikkelson; and sisters-in-law Elaine Lopeter and Myrna Busse. Don was born in Swift Current, SK on September 5, 1936 and attended Buena Vista and Leinan Schools. He was united in marriage with Donna Sabine in Swift Current on August 11, 1973. He farmed until 1966 and then worked at Swift Current Bottlers, Horseshoe Lodge, Ed Busse Seed Cleaning and Kazeil Farms. He was a member of the Resort Village of Beaver Flats Golf Club and enjoyed golf and baseball.
