Delwood Buck

Buck, Delwood Richard (Dietrich) of Gull Lake, Saskatchewan, passed away on January 12, 2022 at the age of 92 years at the Gull Lake Special Care Centre.  A memorial/celebration of life service for Delwood will be held May 21, 2022.  Further service information to follow closer to the date.  Delwood is survived by his wife Alice of 69 years; children: Richard, Pat, Susan, Sharon (Kevin) Strobbe, Walter (Tracey); grandchildren: Laura, Eric, Neil (Julie), Rya, Alicia (Paul), Chad (Lewis), Garrett (Jacqueline), Justin (Trenna); great-grandchildren: Zachary, Reilly, Carsyn, Gavin, Callie, Aaden, Deklyn, Nait, Isabelle, Olivia, Lincoln, Emily; and numerous nieces and nephews.  He was predeceased by his parents Herman and Martha Buck; father-in-law Walter Cooke; mother-in-law Eloise Cooke; brother Linnes Buck and his wife Florence, and brother Alan Buck.  Delwood was born at the Gull Lake Hospital on November 23, 1929, and attended Aldag School.  On November 14, 1952, Delwood married Alice Cooke at the Eastend United Church.  He farmed on the Bench, and was later employed with the Canadian Delhi, Gull Lake John Deere Dealership, Allison Farms, and he worked with John Voloshen in the patch.  He retired with the Department of Highways.  Delwood played ball with the Aldag Eagles, and was a member of Good Hope Lutheran Church and the Elks of Canada.  Delwood loved reading history books, watching Wheel of Fortune, and Jeopardy.  He enjoyed winning at Cribbage, cards, and Farkle.  He spent many hours walking after moving to town.  Donations in Delwoods's memory may be made to the Knox United Church 4175 Price Ave., Gull Lake, SK S0N 1A0, or to the Gull Lake Special Care Auxiliary, Box 539, Gull Lake, SK S0N 1A0.  Arrangements entrusted to Warren's Funeral Home.  For further information please call 1-306-773-8831 or 1-800-267-6606, or visit our website at www.warrensfuneralhome.com and express your sympathy to family members on the tribute wall.
