Davyn Longmore Obituary

Davyn Thomas Longmore

July 13, 1971 – January 29, 2026

Davyn Thomas Longmore passed away peacefully on January 29, 2026, at Cypress Regional Hospital in Swift Current, Saskatchewan, after a courageous and determined battle with cancer. He was 54 years old.

Born on July 13, 1971, in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan, Davyn grew into a man known for his quiet strength, loyalty, and deep devotion to his family. He was, above all else, a family man. His greatest joy came from watching his girls play hockey — cheering from the stands, coaching, encouraging, and always believing in them. He was their biggest supporter, both on and off the ice, and worked tirelessly to help them become the best versions of themselves.

Davyn married the love of his life, Debbie (Brown), on July 30, 2005, in Swift Current, surrounded by family and friends. Together they built a life rooted in love, support, and togetherness. Professionally, Davyn owned and operated his own company, L+B Audit Services, where he worked as a consultant in occupational health and safety. He was proud of his work and approached it with integrity and dedication.

Davyn deeply loved sports and never missed an opportunity to watch a game. He loved golf and spent many happy hours at Chinook Golf Course. He was actively involved in his community, coaching with Swift Current Minor Softball, and Swift Current Minor Hockey. He loved watching his girls play hockey, and soft ball in their younger years. Davyn loved playing bocce ball with his friends. He loved his friends and treasured the time they spent together. He was a diehard Blue Jays, Montreal Canadians, and Saskatchewan Roughriders fan.

Camping with family and friends was something he truly cherished, as it allowed him to slow down and simply enjoy time with those he loved most.

One of Davyn’s greatest expressions of love was through cooking. He always put his heart into preparing meals for his family, making sure everyone was fed, comfortable, and together. He shared a special bond with his dog and constant companion, Berkley, who was truly his best pal. Davyn was a devoted husband, a proud and loving father, and a loyal friend. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him. In his final days, Davyn told Debbie “I had the BEST life,” a testament to the love, family, and memories he built along the way.

Davyn was predeceased by his parents, Paul Longmore (2016) and Lucille Neustater (2003), and his brother-in-law, David Brown (2025).

He is lovingly remembered by his wife, Debbie Longmore, and their daughters, Addison and Sydney Longmore, all of Swift Current. He is also remembered by his in-laws: Dwayne and Wanda Levac of Swift Current; Brenda and Dean Fleury of Swift Current; Gary and Inge Brown of Whitehorse, Yukon; Eric Brown of Swift Current; and Donna Brown of Swift Current, sister Kara Longmore and nephew Aidan; along with his numerous nieces and nephews.
