Williams, David Bernard, age 99 of Morse, Saskatchewan, passed away on July 22, 2025, at The Herbert and District Integrated Health Facility.
The memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on August 1, 2025, at the Morse Community Hall, with Linda Stumpf officiating. Victor Jalbert and Fiona Smith read the eulogy and a poem. The interment service will take place at Memory Lane Cemetery in Morse, Saskatchewan.
David is survived by his daughter, Sharon Williams, and many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his wife, Mary Mable Williams. Parents James Earl Williams and Ellen Williams (Walsh). Sisters: Doris Coake, Muriel Gough, Eleanor Huber and brother Donald Williams.
David was born on the family farm north of Ernfold, Saskatchewan, on May 18, 1926, and was the youngest of five children. And attended Sunflower School. David married Mary Mable Peters on September 23, 1961, in Swift Current, Saskatchewan. He farmed until May of 1976, then he worked at the Horseshoe Lodge in Swift Current as a maintenance man for 10 years.
David enjoyed fixing things, was very good with mechanics, and household repairs. He built onto the house on the farm and did everything himself. He loved to drive around the countryside. David most enjoyed visiting with family and friends.
He always had his way of how things should be done and would insist they be done his way. David loved animals, dogs mostly, but would not get another after he got married because he was so heartbroken when the previous dog died. David never wanted to go through that pain again.
