Linder, Daryl A. James, age 73, of Lac Pelletier, passed away August 15, 2020 at home. The memorial service was held at 2:00 p.m. on August 28, 2020 at Camp Elim Hall with David Hagel officiating. The eulogist was Paul Andreas. Daryl is survived by his son, Bill and wife Melanie Linder, and daughters, Nicole Linder and Brandi Linder; grandchildren, Clay, Cal, Taylor, Ethan, Shelby, Taylor, Charlie, Davin, Brayden, Karrington and Kaydan; brothers, Brian Huartson and Kim Huartson; great grandchildren Graysen and Trinitee; and numerous cherished nieces, nephews and Gorniak family. Daryl was predeceased by his wife, Eileen Linder; mother, Emily Huartson (Campbell); father, Gordon Linder, and stepfather, William Huartson; Aunt Isabell and Jim Patrick; and brother, Bill Huartson. Daryl was born in Leader, SK on October 17, 1946. He attended school in Abbey and Lancer SK. He married Eileen Kathren Gorniak on March 16, 1968, who sadly passed away September 7, 2018. Daryl began his working life as the manager of the Neville Co-op and left to assist on the family farm/ranch, which he proudly turned into an organic farm. Daryl was a member of the Trowbridge Hunting Club and the North American Fishing Club. Daryl loved fastball, and retired with the Roe Ruffy's at 40 years of age. Daryl enjoyed large and small game hunting and spent many hours teaching, assisting and visiting many a friend fishing, or spending many hours playing cards with the Andreas clan. Dad had many friends and extended family - its hard to name you all! Dad was known for his "Heart of Gold," known for his kind, loving heart that touched many lives, whether it was a listening ear, a helping hand, a fishing buddy, or lending a tool from the garage, as he was a "Jack of all trades." Donations may be made in Daryl's memory to The Lac Pelletier Regional Park or to the Canadian Cancer Society. Warren's Funeral Home were entrusted with the arrangements.
