Connie Mann

MANN, Constance "Connie" (nee Sutherland) passed peacefully away  on August 21, 2019 at the age of 90, with her family at her side, at The Meadows in Swift Current, SK. She was born in Neidpath, SK on August 16, 1929. She lived most of her life in Swift Current where she met and married her husband, Frank Mann. She spent her working years in the food service industry. She ran the concession stand at the first and second drive-in theatres in Swift Current. She later had a lengthy career serving folks at the Healy Hotel Dining Room and Lounge. Connie always took joy and pride in helping and caring for her family, close friends and neighbors. She will be remembered for her willingness to help others in whatever way she could. Her family meant everything to her. Connie enjoyed visiting and reminiscing, taking care of her cats, paging thru recipe books, embroidering, completing word search puzzles, weekly shopping trips to the Co-op, and staying up to date on what was happening with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. In her later years, she resided at Golden West Manor where she enjoyed visiting, carpet bowling and caring for many neighbor friends. She moved to the Meadows Nursing Home in 2016 where she continued to take care of those around her in whatever way she could. She is lovingly remembered by her son, Bill (Barb) Mann of Kelowna, BC; her sister, Kay Erdahl of Winnipeg, MB; her brother, Ernest (Cyndie) Sutherland of Carmen, MB; grandchildren, Lia (Paul) Marcotte of Southey, SK, Jami (Garrett) Mann of Regina, SK and Jason Mann of Kelowna, BC; great-grandchildren, Joel and Kate Marcotte (Lia) and William Schous (Jami); nieces, Kelly (Tom) White, Marlo (Kevin) Hurtecant, and Tarryn (Laurent) Sutherland; nephews, Derek (Bridgette) Sutherland and Colby (Paras) Sutherland; great nieces and nephews; very special friend June Bulin and all her family; brother-in-law, Ronnie (Elaine) Mann and many dear friends and extended family that had a special place in her heart. She was predeceased by her husband Frank; her mother and father Muriel and Henry "Scotty" Sutherland; mother-in-law and father-in-law, James and Violet Mann; her brother-in-law, Mel Erdahl; and many extended family and friends. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Swift Current Animal Shelter (SPCA) P.O. Box 1163 Swift Current, SK S9H 3X3.
