Coleen Blohm

BLOHM: Coleen Doloros (Woods), age 72 of Swift Current, SK passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 2, 2022 at The Meadows Clover House. She is pre-deceased by her loving husband Douglas Blohm (2020) and her parents Earl (Buster) Woods (1993) and Grace Woods (1991). She is survived by her three loving sons Trevor (Gemi) Blohm and their children Carlos, Koen and Brooke; Ryan (Niki) Blohm and their children Mackenzie, Keegan, Emma and Bennett; Jeff (Megan) Blohm and their children Mya and Hunter. She is also survived by her four siblings Sherryl Woods, David Woods, Dianne Michaud, Brian Woods and many nieces and nephews. She was a graduate of Vanguard High School in 1967 and was married to Douglas Blohm on the 5th of September, 1970. They had three sons and were married until Doug's passing on February 22, 2020. Coleen spent a good portion of her life as a stay at home Mother but also worked at Household Finance Corp, Southside Pioneer Co-op as a cashier and at the Co-op in the Wheatland Mall at the service desk. She successfully completed Secretarial Studies through night classes at Cypress Hills College in the late 80's. She finished her working career as a morning and noon hour supervisor and substitute education assistant at Fairview School from 2000 until she retired in 2013. She was very happy working with children and babysat a lot of neighbouring kids during her time at home between jobs. Coleen found much joy in cooking for her family and friends, nobody ever left hungry. She enjoyed all sports and loved to camp, fish, play cribbage and spend quality time with her husband, children and grandchildren. She was a wonderful and loving Mother, grandmother, sister, daughter, wife and friend. We will never be able to fill the hole in our hearts that she has left and she will be missed for all of eternity. She asked us not to cry, we may never stop. A celebration of life service was held on Monday, January 10, 2022 at Walker Place in Swift Current.
