The family of Bryon H. Campbell of Swift Current sadly announce his passing on Thursday January 26, 2023 at the age of 91. Dad was a wonderful father, grandfather, uncle and friend to many and passed away peacefully after a brief illness. His positive reach across the province of Saskatchewan has been noticed in the wide ranging support his family has received since his passing. Bryon Hugh Campbell was born in 1931 in Melville, Saskatchewan. He was predeceased by his beloved wife Mary Ann (Thompson), one son Gerald at birth, his parents Nora and Edward Campbell as well as his brothers, sisters (brother-in-laws) — Allan Campbell, Lloyd Campbell, Margaret (John) Wotherspoon, Ainslie (Hugh) Wotherspoon, Shirley (Eric) Stiglitz and his son-in-law Rob Stenson. He is survived by his four daughters Chris, Pat, Karen (Micheal Brown), and Sue (Mike Monastra), former son-in-law Harvey Patton and of course his very loved grandchildren and great grandchildren Leif Luttmer and Ivie, Marcy (Matt) Lowe, Kaylem, Westin and Makenna, Allison Patton, Lindsay Patton (Kevin Simrose), Blaine Stenson and Kelli Stenson. Dad also loved and was loved by many nieces, nephews, friends and former colleagues. Dad retired from his lifelong career at the Royal Bank after over 40 years. He was also influential in Saskatchewan politics and on City Council in Swift Current. He volunteered in many organizations such as Kinsmen, K-40 and the Shrine Club amongst others resulting in the presentation of the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee Medal for community service just prior to his death. At Dad’s wishes, he will be cremated and laid to rest at a later date with his wife Mary Ann. A celebration of his life will be held in the summer when family and friends can safely gather and remember stories of his life and legacy. As his family, we want to thank the people who made such a difference to Dad. Dr. Sam, care nurse Patti and all of the nurses and aids at the Meadows Care Home. We also are very thankful for his many friends and in particular Art (Linda) Stenson for his daily support and friendship. The family asks in lieu of flowers that donations be made in Bryon’s name to the charity of your choice. Arrangements entrusted to Warren’s Funeral Home.
