Bill Horsburgh

On Sunday, April 21st, William (Bill) Douglas Horsburgh passed away after a long well lived life at the age of 89. Bill and his late wife of 53 years, Joan Georgina Horsburgh grew up in the region, moved to southern Alberta and eventually returned to live in Carmichael, SK. He was the proud father of infant son Gene Douglas (deceased), daughters Ellen Lee Batty and Judith Ann Perfect (deceased) and son James (Jim) Kelvin Horsburgh. He will be greatly missed by his nine grandchildren and six great grandchildren who will cherish his legacy and life lessons. Bill was well known as a strong willed, humorous man that could tell an entertaining story and bring laughter to anyone. He was a man you could turn to and who could be counted on any situation. To honour his life, a graveside service will be held in Tompkins Cemetery on Thursday, May 2nd, 2019 at 1:00pm followed by a luncheon at Carmichael Community Hall at 2:00pm. The family requests in lieu of flowers, any donations be made to a charity of their choice. Warren's Funeral Home were entrusted with the arrangements.
