Cabora (Bertha) Hendous
October 8, 1928 - September 15, 2022
Cabora (Bertha) Hendous was born on the Homested in Saskatchewan on October 8, 1928 and passed away at the age of 93. Bertha was the fourth eldest of twelve children to her parents Sadie and Albert Hattum. Growing up on the farm Bertha learned how to work in all aspects of the farm, including cooking and baking. She loved to cook and bake up a storm, sending care packages home to all on every visit. She cherished spending time with her grandchildren laughing, playing cards, doing puzzles, and storytelling. Throughout her life Bertha touched many lives, though she could be rather blunt and very independent, she was the most caring, generous, loving person who treasured all her friends and family, especially her grandchildren. She is survived by her son Hassen (Janice) Hendous, grandchildren Jamal (Athea), Megan and Jade, her great grandchildren Rener and Juno, and her brother Jack Hattum, Moe's brothers and their families, and Bertha's nieces and nephews. Bertha was predeceased by her husband Mohammed (Moe) Hendous, her son Albert Hendous, her daughter Marie Savidan, and her granddaughter's fiancé Reagan Low.
Thanks to all her wonderful friends. Special thanks to dear friends Bud Cates, Pat Dahlgren, Donna and Bruce Klassen, Shirley and George Wallace, Ron and Fran Jeffinger, and the Pallative Care Team, Homecare, Swift Current Hospital staff and Clover House staff.
