Audrey passed away peacefully after a short battle with cancer, on August 16, 2025, at the Cypress Regional Hospital in Swift Current, Saskatchewan. Audrey was born in Canora, Saskatchewan in May 1956, to Michael and Mary Kozmeniuk. She grew up in Stenen, Saskatchewan, and attended school in Stenen and Sturgis.
In 1974, she married Warren Carlson, and they had two children. Candice was born in 1975, and Cory was born in 1979. Audrey moved back to Swift Current in 2019 to spend more time with her children and grandchildren. Audrey worked many jobs in customer service throughout her life, most recently at the Pioneer Co-op in Swift Current. She enjoyed helping people, and getting to visit with the customers. She was blessed with four grandchildren, and enjoyed spending time with them, and watching their activities throughout the years.
Audrey was predeceased by her parents, Michael (2013) and Mary (1999) Kozmeniuk. Audrey is survived by her daughter Candice (Derek) Petkau; grandchildren: Cassidy (Kyle) and Abigail; her son Cory (Kimbrin) Carlson; grandchildren: Tayvin and Kelby; and Mindy her beloved dog.
The family will have a private graveside service for Audrey in Canora, Saskatchewan at a later date.
