Arn Patrick Slaven, age 18, passed away suddenly on Wednesday June 24, 2020 alongside two of his friends. Sadly, the following evening, a third friend was taken. Arn is survived by his mother, Andrea Slaven and step-dad, Eric Molnar, along with his older brother, Alex Slaven, and grandparents, Mary Doherty and Adam Leier. Arn was predeceased by his father, Alan Slaven. Arn was born in Paisley, Renfrewshire, Scotland on the 16th of October, 2001. Arn attended school at St. James' in Paisley, St. Joseph's, All Saint's and the Swift Current Comprehensive High School. Arn was a store associate at Bulk Barn where he was a front-line worker through the pandemic. Arn had recently taken an interest in CASARA (The Civil Air Search and Rescue Association) and spent his 1st training session there in early March. Arn loved paintballing, camping, going to Banff, playing the Xbox and hanging out with friends. He loved animals and swimming as well. Arn was an amazing lad who lived for making sure everyone he cared about was taken care of. He lost his Dad at a young age but he never let that stop him from becoming the beautiful soul he was. Graduating from the SC Comp last year he had hopes of becoming a paramedic, to help even more people than he already had. Arn was a gentle giant, always, he had a smile on his face, a hug at the ready and a heart more valuable than any piece of gold. Donations in memory of Arn may be made to the Swift Current S.P.C.A., P.O. Box 1163, Swift Current SK S9H 3X3. Warren's Funeral Home were entrusted with the arrangements.
