Amiel Baybay Ambion passed away suddenly and unexpectedly on May 23, 2020. Amiel was born and raised in Tagaytay City, Phillipines where he attended school and college. He met Joan Bataclan when he was a teenager and knew it was love. Their daughter says her Daddy knew right then that her Mom was the prettiest girl he would ever know. Amiel and Joan were married in Amadeo Cavite, Philippines on March 4, 1995, celebrating 25 years this year. Amiel and Joan worked hard to raise their family and provide them with opportunity. Joan came to Canada in 2006 and Amiel and the children were finally able to join her in February of 2011. Amiel began work at Batco in 2012 and remained there until his passing. They were so happy when they were blessed with another daughter in Canada and AJ became the light of everyone's lives. Amiel was a proud and loving husband and father. He loved nothing more than spending time with his wife and his three children. He loved the outdoors and gardening; he loved music and played the drums in a band with his friends called the Frozen Cones. He loved taking AJ to her activities, listening to Ainma sing, and sports with Aiel. He was so excited when he learned he would be a Grandpa and loved his grandson Zayk so very much. Some of his happiest moments were spent with him. Amiel was so very thankful for the partners who came into his children's lives. Anne Jeanette and Errylson made his children happy and that made him happy. Amiel had a strong faith in God. It was obvious to everyone in the way he lived his life with kindness and understanding. He was able to find the good in everyone and made sure they knew they were special.
Amiel is survived by his loving wife Joan, his children Aiel (Anne Jeanette), Ainma (Errylson), and AJ and his grandson Zayk. He is also survived by his parents Isagani and Erlinda Ambion, brother Leebrian and sisters Annabelle, Charmagne and Abegail and their spouses and children. Amiel was a faithful member of St. Olaf's Lutheran Church, the Filipino Community FASCA, Frozen Cones Band and CZ Firearms Group. He shared with Errylson that he had always dreamed of becoming a policeman but now he thought he was too old. He would have been a good one. Another dream of Amiel's was to have his family together. His parents immigrated to Canada only ten days before his passing. While they were able to see him through the window and see how happy he was, they were unable to spend time with him while under quarantine. Amiel will be missed and remembered by all who knew him. Tagalog Prayer: Jesus Kami Po At Tutulog Na Sa Inyong Kandungan Sana Po’y Ingatan Ha A Great Buhay.
