Alma Louise Lech (Odbert)
Mom was born on the family farm south of Hazenmore on October 1, 1929, and passed away January 18, 2025 with family by her side.
Mom worked on the family farm with her mom and dad. She attended Dixie School with her siblings riding horse or walking. She helped her mom look after her sister Orva.
On September 30, 1948 Mom married Andrew Lech of Glen Bain. They farmed together side by side doing farm work and raising livestock.
Mom moved to Swift Current in 2015, where she met many new friends.
Mom is survived by daughters: June (Wayne) Rosenfelt, Helen Empey, Diane (Les) Jordet; sons: John (Darlene) Lech, Ken Lech (Monica); grandchildren: Derrick (Dena) Rosenfelt, Carla Ruehs, Amber Rosenfelt (Kris), Christina Funk (Keith), Coralee (Palmer) Johnson, Melissa Funk, Kurt Empey, Ashley (Mark) Sjolie, Kyle (Danyelle) Jordet, Riley Jordet (Megan), Brittany (Ryan) Keenleyside, Ben Huber, Terry (Tanya) Mitchell, Chris (Heather) Mitchell; great-grandchildren: Kaylee and Talon Rosenfelt, Olivia and Logan Ruehs, Ava Rosenfelt, Noah and Hayley Sjolie, Kassidy and Reese Jordet, Beau and Emmy Keenleyside.
Mom was pre-deceased by husband Andrew (1975); son Floyd (1965); daughter Margie (2000); parents Bill and Mabel; siblings: Bill, Pearl and Orva; sister-in-law Joan; brother-in-law Harold; sons-in-law Harvey (2011) and Terry (2020); and special friend George J. Gross.
At Mom’s request there will be no formal service.
