Agnes May Leisle, May 1, 1931 - November 3, 2021. Agnes was born May 1, 1931 on the family farm. She was the youngest of 9 children of Mary (Spate) and James Wilson of the Wildflower District near Morse, SK. Agnes married Walter Leisle on October 26, 1948 in Moose Jaw, SK. They began married life farming with Walter's father and brothers, and soon moved to the Leisle Homestead near the farm where Agnes grew up. They resided on the homestead until they moved to Riverview Estates in Swift Current in 2014. Together, Agnes and Walter were active in the Morse community, attending ball games, sport days and dances. They participated in bowling, curling, golfing and took leadership roles with the Ernfold 4-H Club. Agnes and Walter enjoyed summers camping at Palliser Park and many winters in Mesa, Arizona where they made many friends. She was a devoted wife and mother. She enjoyed animals, Blue Jays ball games on TV, grew a large and bountiful garden, raised chickens and turkeys, and was chief sausage mixer in butchering season. She was a wonderful cook and hosted many large and noisy family suppers. Agnes was predeceased by her parents and siblings and a granddaughter, Janelle Leisle in 1993. She is survived by Walter, her husband of 73 years, and by her children: Barry Leisle of Morse, SK, Bonnie Gerbrandt (Ron) of Lucky Lake, SK, Tony Leisle (Bonnie) of Spruce Grove, AB, Glenn Leisle (Pam) of Morse, SK, Mary Lee Michell (Ray) of Comox, BC, and Raymond Leisle (Karen) of Medicine Hat, AB, as well as 14 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandson. Walter and family wish to express their appreciation to all the staff at both Prairie Wind Estates and the Herbert and District Integrated Health Facility for their care and their efforts above and beyond to accommodate and meet Mom's rapidly changing needs. There will not be a service at this time; however, her burial will be held at Memory Gardens Cemetery, Swift Current, at a later date.
