Yvonne Reid Obituary

It is with heavy hearts and a deep sense of loss that we, the family of Yvonne Lynn Reid, announce her passing on Monday, November 25, 2019. Yvonne was born in Swift Current, SK on April 26, 1952, to Verla Clara Reid and Thomas William Reid. After graduating from high school, Yvonne spent the next phase of her life in various careers spanning from owning and operating a car detailing business, (New Look) to being employed by Woolworth's and the Royal Bank.  Yvonne also was employed by MacBean Tessem Law Firm for over 31 years as Office Administrator as well as managing the Firm's accounting department. Yvonne's greatest loves in her life were her children and grandchildren. She spent countless hours watching her children and grandchildren participate in their many school events and sports activities and was always willing to travel to other towns and cities to cheer them on. She enjoyed spending time with and was abundantly grateful for her many friends who she always said were a great support to her throughout her illness. The many hours she spent working out with her TRX team were very special to her. Yvonne also enjoyed gardening and doing household renovations disregarding Dave's ideas most of the time. Yvonne was not one to sit idle and as such was very involved in the community with a variety of organizations. She volunteered with the Swift Current Broncos, 57 Baseball Club, Kidsport, minor baseball and minor hockey as well as billeted many Bronco & Legionnaire and 57 Baseball Club players from 1987 to 2012. Yvonne was also a dedicated Board member for the Southwest Homes for the Handicapped, now known as Southwest Homes, as well as acted as Trustee with the Department of Social Services for many clients over the years. Yvonne leaves to cherish her memory, her loving partner of 53 years, David A. Feil, her daughter, Michelle Osborne (Shawn Osborne) and their children Cade, Jace, Rece, Kyle and Hailey, her son, DJ Feil (Kim Petram) her niece Verla Marie Penner and her nephew, Travis Penner. Yvonne was pre-deceased by her mother, Verla, her father, Thomas, her brother, Ronald and her sister, Frances. Yvonne always enjoyed life to the fullest and always felt very blessed that she had so many wonderful people in her life. For those who were closest to her, comfort each other with love and memories.
