Prive, Stella Claire: It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of our beloved wife and mother on November 22, 2019. Stella Claire Prive is survived by her husband of 65 years, Romeo Prive; her children, Dianne (Lindsay Antoniak), Paul, Richard, and Evelynne; 8 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren and 6 godchildren. She was predeceased by her stillborn son, Joseph. She was born in Ponteix on December 9, 1931, the eldest of 10 children, to Ovide and Juliette Douville. Her surviving siblings include Hervé, Lucille Meaken (Stuart), Maurice (Lourianne), Yvonne Johner (Roy), Lorraine Larochelle (John - deceased), Marie, Guy (Lorraine), Anita SGM and Roger (Janis). Devoted to her faith, always prepared to go to mass and to say prayers, she was involved with the Catholic Women's League, the Ladies of the Parish and Les Femme de la Federation. She attended the Ponteix Convent until the age of 16, at which time she decided to stay home and help with her younger siblings. She had many interests, including oil painting, knitting, crochet, other needle work and quilting. She had a green thumb for house plants and gardening. She loved playing cards with her friends - the Canasta ladies, and extended trips with her husband and friends. Donations in her memory may be made to Diabetes Canada, the Kinsmen Telemiracle Foundation or to a Charity of the Donor's choice. Warren's Funeral Home were entrusted with the arrangements.
