Sigmund Giverhaug Obituary

Giverhaug, Sigmund Paul Giverhaug of Eastend, SK passed away April 1, 2019 at Cypress Regional Hospital in Swift Current. The Memorial Service was held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, April 5, 2019 from Eastend United Church with Paul Dorizo. The organist was Ellie Schrag. The Ushers were Colton Hughes and Nadine Encarnacion. The Life Tribute was given by Gerry Huber. Honorary Pallbearers were all who shared in Sig's life. Sig is survived by his wife Deborah (Deb) Giverhaug; Sons Brent (Skip) and wife Sharon Giverhaug, David (Roxanne) Giverhaug; daughter Laurie (Paul) Scott; brother Lynne Giverhaug, sister Valerie (Gerry) Huber and many cherished grand and great grant children, nieces, nephews, and extended family members. He was predeceased by his father Sigurd Giverhaug in February of 1975; mother Virginia Lewis Giverhaug in July of 2003, Virginia's second husband Revell Moore in 2005 and Sister Gloria Scott in August of 1983. Sig was born on January 17, 1942 in Shaunavon, SK. He attended school in Eastend. He married Deborah Anne Kathleen Muse in Calgary on December 23, 1985. Sig will be sadly missed but fondly remembered by his family and friends. In his memory, memorial donation may be made to the Intensive Care Unit, Cypress Regional Hospital, C/O Dr. Noble Irwin Health Care Foundation, the Eastend Historical Museum or the Charity of the Donor's Choice.
