Salome Zaremba Obituary

Kinnee Zaremba, Salome (nee Hoffarth), age 94, of Ponteix formerly Swift Current passed away April 3, 2019 at Foyer St Joseph Nursing Home surrounded by her family. The funeral service was held at 2 PM, April 9, 2019 from Mount Calvary Lutheran Church, Swift Current with Pastor Greg Kiel officiating. The organist was Arlie Neufeld. The eulogists were Jimmi Lynn Kinnee, Lorna Snider, Angel Folk, Vanessa Henderson, Angie Nicholson. The pallbearers were Shawn Folk, Jamie Hattum, Darren Henderson, Steven Henderson, Kirk Kinnee and Garett Kinnee. The Interment Service was held at Memory Gardens Cemetery, Swift Current, Sk. Salome is survived by her children: Betty (Hal) Satter, Judy (Marcel) Folk, son-in-law Jack Hattum, Wes (Deb) Kinnee and Marilyn (Clem) Therrien, grandchildren and great grandchildren: Jimmi Lynn (Brian) and Alex and Theo Thomson, Pam (Kevin) Jesse  and Riley North, Michelle Satter and Tallon and Tevryn Hoover, Lorna (Stephen) and Deklin and Khloe Snider, Jamie (Amy) and Clark and Ella Hattum, Shawn and Madison and Dawson Folk, Angel Folk, Angie (Colin) and Macy, Emery and Aubrey Nicholson, Kirk (Courtney) and Theodora and Juliet Kinnee, Garett Kinnee, Darren (Charlene) and Josh, Breali, and Braylon Henderson, Vanessa (Jarrod) and Korbin, Nash Utke and Steven and Arlen Henderson. Her stepchildren: Bill Zaremba, Betty Miller, and Tony Klink and families as well as Kevin and Mark Golem and families, her brothers: John, Fred & George (Dorothy) Hoffarth and families. Sisters-in-law: Vera Kinnee, Jeanette Hoffarth. Special Friend: Delores Scanson. She was predeceased by: her parents, Edward and Mary Hoffarth, 1st husband: Kenneth (Jim) Kinnee, 2nd husband: Alf Zaremba, Son: Barry Kinnee, Daughter: June Hattum (2016), Step daughter: Marjory Golem Bildfell, Grandaughter-in-law: Dawn Folk (Apr.1,2019), Sister-in-law : Alene Hoffarth, Brothers: Norman, Pete (Mary) and Joe and Roy Hoffarth, Sisters: Clara Buehler and, Katie Neilson and spouses, Agnes Hoffarth. Salome was born on family farm north of Shaunavon, Sk. On Oct.29, 1924. She attended school at Pioneer district north of Shaunavon. She married Kenneth James Kinnee in 1947 in Crichton, Sask. Following his passing, Salome married Alfons Zaremba in 1977 in Shaunavon, Sk. She worked at Shaunavon Hospital, Cadillac School, Cadillac Hall and Shaunavon Motel. She was a member of Maytime Rebekah Lodge, Cadillac Car club, Cadillac UCW, Cadillac curling club, Cadillac Legion Auxilliary. Salome enjoyed walking, watching sports, music, reading, knitting, bowling, dancing, curling, softball. Her greatest joy was getting together with her children and grandchildren and reminiscing. She was the most wonderful, caring, compassionate and thoughtful Mother, Mother-in-law, Grandma and Great Grandma. She will be sadly missed. "A cheerful smile, a heart of gold, One of the best this world could hold. Never selfish, always kind. These are the memories she left behind. In our heart her memory lingers, Always tender fond and true, There's not a day Dear Mom, we do not think of you. To those who have a mother, Cherish her with care, For you will never know the heartache until she is no longer there. "We miss you and love you Mom".
