Mildred Stengler Obituary

STENGLER: Mildred Theresa (nee Konanz) of Swift Current, SK passed away on November 26, 2018 at the age of 85. Mildred was born to Joseph and Antonia (nee: Schafer) Konanz, the fifth child in a family of seven on December 25, 1932, on the family farm at Billimun, SK. She attended Pinto Dale School in Billimun, and high school in Mankota, SK. She was married to Balzer Stengler in 1951 in St. Martins Roman Catholic Church in Billimun. Together they were blessed with five children Bernadette, Lorne & Lorna, Don & Dona, 13 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren. Mildred is predeceased by her parents Joseph and Antonia Konanz; five brothers Ed, Ben, Dennis, Robert and Clarence Konanz; sister Rita (Len) Leibel; sisters-in-law Theresa, Peg, and Annette Konanz; grandson Christopher Stengler; and nephew Leo Konanz. She is survived by her loving husband Balzer; three daughters and two sons Bernie (Lyle) Maxwell, Lorne (Elaine) Stengler, Lorna (Bruce) Switzer, Don (Sherry) Stengler, and Dona (Calvin) Gunter; two sisters-in-law Albina Konanz and Irene Konanz; as well as many nieces and nephews.
