Mary Bengert Obituary

REIMER-BENGERT: Mary Maxine age 89 of Saskatoon, SK passed away on November 25, 2018 at the City Hospital. The interment service was held at Memory Gardens Cemetery on November 30, 2018 with Pastor Linda Hall officiating. Mary is survived by her son Syd Reimer; daughter-in-law Laurie Reimer; grandson Ashton Reimer; granddaughters Myranda, Serena and Chanelle Reimer; as well as numerous nieces and nephews from the Reimer and Clark families. She is predeceased by her brother Melvin Clark in 1960; father Arden Clark in 1962; husband August Reimer in 1978; mother Winnifred Clark in 2005; and sister-in-law Dorothy Clark in 2010. Mary was born in Swift Current, SK on May 14, 1929. She attended Swinton School District and Swift Current Collegiate. She married August Reimer on July 16, 1952 in Swift Current. Mary spent the first half of her working career at several business offices as a steno and bookkeeper. The remainder of her working career was as a waitress at several restaurants in Swift Current. Mary lived in her own apartment until February 2018 and enjoyed listening to old time country music and frequently attended the Army, Navy, and Air Force Veterans Club in Saskatoon to listen to live entertainers. She then moved to a private care home in Saskatoon. She became ill in October 2018 and passed away peacefully in her sleep with her son at her side on November 25, 2018.
