Margaret Howell

HOWELL: Margaret Ingebjorg age 96 of Swift Current, SK passed away on December 3, 2019. The funeral service was held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 11, 2019 from the Chapel of Warren's Funeral Home with Reverend Annette Taylor officiating. The pallbearers were Sean Howell, Ian Howell, Douglas Howell, Murray Howell and Travis Hutsal and the interment service took place from Memory Gardens Cemetery in Swift Current, SK. Margaret is survived by her children Jack (Joyce) Howell, Sandra (Tom) Wright, Barbara Howell (Lorimer Dawson) and Allan (Laurel) Howell; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren; sister Dolly Reed; son-in-law Bill Pick; as well as nieces, nephews and friends. She is predeceased by her husband Alvin Howell; daughter Arlene Howell-Pick; and her parents John and Kristine Dahl. Margaret was born to John and Kristine Dahl in the Birsay district, SK on August 2, 1923. She was united in marriage to Alvin Howell on August 11, 1945 on the family farm in Birsay. Margaret was a dedicated farmwife and she always took a loving interest in her family. She enjoyed gardening, travelling and in later years she passed the time with bingo and crossword puzzles. Margaret and Alvin enjoyed winters in Victoria, BC until 1998 when they moved to Swift Current. Alvin passed in 2003.
