Toth; Leslie Toth Sr. age 87 of Swift Current, SK passed away April 7, 2019 at Cypress Regional Hospital. The Funeral Service was held at 2:00 pm, Monday, April 15, 2019 from the Chapel of Warren's Funeral Home with Msgr Reymund Asis officiating. The Interment Service took place at Mount Pleasant Burial Park. The Pallbearers were Trent Trousdell, Ryan Trousdell, Travis Toth, Rob Vanden Elsen, Colin Toth and Lukas Toth. Les is survived by his four children: Susan (John) Vanden Elsen of Campbell River, BC.; Andy Toth of Swift Current, SK.; Sandy Trousdell of Medicine Hat, AB. And Mary Ann Hostick of Niagara Falls, ON.; 12 grandchildren; Kristine Vanden Elsen, Robert Vanden Elsen, , Lukas Toth, Trent Trousdell, Ryan Trousdell, Jordan Hostick, Riley Hostick, Matthew Hostick, Travis Toth, Jodi Harkness, Colin Toth, and Chris Hanson. 7 great grandchildren; Mylah, Tye, Jace and Stella Vanden Elsen; Olivia and Keaton Harkness, and Van Hanson-Monk. Les is also survived by one sister in Hungary. He was predeceased by his wife Mary; infant son Steven; sons Joe and Les Jr; his father Joszef and mother Anna from Kormend, Hungary along with two brothers and two sisters in Hungary. Les was born on July 24, 1931 in Kormend, Hungary. He spent his youth in Hungary and then immigrated to Canada and married Mary Varga in 1954. Les was employed with the C.P.R. Rail, Irwin School as a custodian, and then ventured into his own business, Les's Painting. Les was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles and a longtime season ticket holder of the Swift Current Broncos. Les's two pastime hobbies were fishing and gardening. He also enjoyed his family gatherings. Les will be sadly missed by his children and family. We are so blessed that Dad and Mom immigrated to Canada to give us a better life. A special thank you to his neighbor Laura Yackel for all her help and support for our Dad and her love and kindness she has given us kids throughout the years. Les will also be sadly missed by his two black squirrels that visited him daily for their peanuts. In Les's memory, memorial donations may be made to the Swift Current Broncos Education Fund.
