Obituary

Nicholson: Kenneth Earl Nicholson, age 62, of Swift Current, Sk passed away Thursday, August 22, 2019 at the Meadows. The Celebration of Life Service will be held at a later date. Ken is survived by his daughter Shivawn Lietz; sister Nancy Thingelstad and nephews Ory and Tyson Thingelstad. He was predeceased by his mother Dorothy Nicholson and his father Clifford Earl Nicholson. Ken was born in Swift Current, Sk. on July 16, 1957. He attended school in Morse. In his youth, Ken was active with Cubs and Boys Scouts and was active in sports, playing football, hockey and hardball. Ken worked at various places over the years, he worked on the family farm but was also a motorcycle repairman and drove taxi cab up until six years ago when he needed to retire due to health issues. Ken loved to ride motorcycles and fixing them up. He also enjoyed fishing, reading mystery novels, camping, especially watching the riders and being with his friends and having a good time. Ken was caring, loyal, compassionate, trusting, strong and quiet. He loved his family and friends very much and would help anyone at any time. His door was always open. He loved animals very deeply and was very well liked by his friends everywhere he went. His family mourns his loss but take comfort in knowing he is no longer suffering.
