Judy Sather Obituary

SATHER, Judy passed away peacefully on July 5, 2019, at the Cypress Regional Hospital surrounded by loved ones, after a long battle with cancer. She was born on September 11, 1949 at the Swift Current Union Hospital, and attended Beatie Collegiate, and was employed with Cindy's Taxes and More. Judy married the love of her life, Barry Sather, on September 6, 1972. In her spare time, she enjoyed knitting, crocheting, gardening, shopping, and baking with her grandchildren. Judy was predeceased by her husband Barry Sather; mother Elenor Retvedt; father Lenord Retvedt; sister Deb Dahl; son Peter Sather; sister-in-law Diane Gaetz; brother-in-law Terry Gaetz. Judy is survived by her children: Jeff Sather, Jon (Justina) Sather, Greg Sather, daughter-in-law Kellie Sather; grandkids: Ronald, Katie, Aynslee, Maverick; siblings Larry (Deanna) Retvedt, Wendy (Richard) Riemer, Ray Redvedt, Kim (Shelly) Redvedt; in-laws Barb (Les) Wotherspoon, Landis (Kim) Sather; and several nieces and nephews. The funeral service was held on July 11, 2019 from the Church of the Open Bible with Pastor Rob Cochrane officiating. Special music was played by Ken Doerksen; eulogist was Tracey Gerbrandt; usher's were Charlie Gerbrandt, and Colby Bryant. The pallbearers were Muriel Wiebe, Cindy Lee, Dave Melendez-Duke, Tracey Gerbrandt, Linda Dunham, and Brad Gaetz.
