Joan Cates

Cates, Joan E. Cates, age 84 of Swift Current, SK passed away November 30, 2019 at Willow Creek Manor in Swift Current. The Graveside Service was held Friday, December 6, 2019 at 1:00 pm from Hillcrest Cemetery with Peggy Worrell officiating. Joan is survived by her children, Barb and daughter Jackie, Bill (Tannis) and their children Owen, Tanille and Desiree, son Bud and many other who are considered family. She was predeceased by her husband Jerry, parents, in laws and many other family members. Joan was born on December 15, 1937 on the farm near Grenfell. She worked at the Telephone office in Regina and A & W in Swift Current. Joan was a lady that loved all animals, especially her dogs. Hours were spent in her flower garden in the backyard on 7th N.W., where she lived for over 50 years. In lieu of gifts, please consider a donation to the Swift Current S.P.C.A.
