Gordon Hebert Obituary

HEBERT: Gordon Arthur, age 79, of Swift Current, SK passed away on September 10, 2019 at the Cypress Regional Hospital. The memorial service was held on Saturday, September 14, 2019 from the family home. The eulogy was read by Gordon's children, the ushers were Brad Meyer and Mike Giesbrecht and the honorary pallbearers were all those who shared in his life. Gordon was survived by his wife Sylvia; children: Bonnie (Monte) Dzuba, Debbie (Ken) Macey, Donna (Ernie) Tsu and Chris Hebert; grandchildren: Tyson Dzuba, Brette Macey, Blake Macey, and Ashlainah Szabo; great grandson Jackson Dzuba; brothers George and Fraser Hebert; and sisters Joan Hebert and Candace Steeves. He is predeceased by his parents Gordon and Bernice Hebert; sister Heather Mellish; and brother Michael Hebert. Gordon was born on January 18, 1940 in Saskatoon, SK where he also attended school. He was united in marriage to Sylvia Yuristy on August 1, 1964 in Ituna, SK. He was employed at Bowman Brothers, Acklands, Fort Ignition and NAPA. After Gordon retired he was self employed as a part time equipment broker. Gordon was a member of the Regina Motorcycle Club, Associated Canadian Travelers, and enjoyed hunting, fishing, Nascar, hill climbing (motorcycle), classic cars, cooking, gardening, and motorcycles. Gord truly lived life on his own terms. He had a very strong work ethic and took very good care of his family. Gord was respectful to everyone he met and in turn was very well respected himself. Gord was very social and loved entertaining and spending time with friends and family. Throughout his career as a successful salesman he forged many positive relationships that endured through his life. Family and friends will treasure the many memories and good times had at Clam Lake where his final resting place will be.
