Frank David Banman: It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Frank, after a valiant and grueling battle with cancer, on May 7, 2019 with family by his side. He was born on February 4, 1943 on the family farm, the youngest of 17 children. He grew up in the Vowlt Laigh (Wooded Coulee) and attended Lens East School. The family moved to the village of Rosehof in 1954. Frank left home at an early age and worked on various farms. In 1964 Frank came to the Kyle District to work. On October 21, 1967 he married Lynn (Moore) of Kyle. In 1968 he began his life long dream of ranching and farming as they joined the Moore family farm at Kyle, soon acquiring land and cattle of their own. Frank leaves to mourn his passing his wife Lynn; his children Kim (Wayne) Jansen and their children Clayton (Carrie), Bailie (Justin), Jacey and great granddaughter Ashlyn, Rhonda Janzen and her sons Dillon and Austen, Diane (Dan) Kozak and her daughters Ava and Greta, David and his children Samanatha and Zane, and Lindsay and her daughter Kiara; sisters Susan (Harry) Wiebe and Pauline (Tony) Johner; brother Ben (Marge) Banman; brothers-in-law Bill (Barb) Moore, Bob Moore, Brian (Susan) Moore; as well as many nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his infant son Kenneth; grandson Carter; parents Johann and Margaretha (Krahn) Banman; sisters Agnes, Anna, Kay, Margaret, and Mary; brothers John and Ike; seven siblings in infancy; mother and father-in-law Charles and Dorothy Moore; several brothers and sisters-in-laws; and nieces and nephews. The funeral service was held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 14, 2019 from the Kyle Elk's Community Hall with Reverend David Nevett officiating. The pianist was Leslie Dyrland, guest book attendants were Lori and Wayne Wiebe, ushers were Laurie Thomson and Tom Cook, and the pallbearers were Jake Schlamp, Charles Friesen, Kevin Banman, Lloyd Wiebe, Sheldon Janzen, and Logan Moore.
