Edward Krause

Edward Elvin Krause, age 91, of Swift Current, passed away January 3, 2020 at Clover House. The funeral service was held at 2:00 p.m., January 8, 2020 from the chapel at Warren's Funeral Home with Pride Davis officiating. The organist was Arlie Neufeld and the eulogists were Donna Dussault and Lawrence Dyck. The interment service was held at Hillcrest Cemetery. The pallbearers were Richard Monkman, Jerry Monkman, Kurtis Krause, Robert Furey, Keegan Quebec and Kyle Ferguson. Edward is survived by his children: Verna Goodwin (Ross Heebner), Rose Monkman, Stuart Krause (Roseanne), Donna Dussault (Richard), Gerald Krause, and Kelly Krause (Chelsey); numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. Edward was predeceased by his wife, Mary Krause; parents, Catherine and Edward Krause; grandchild, Rebecca Furey; brothers, Johnney and Floyd Krause; sons-in-law, Barry Goodwin and Earl Monkman. Edward was born in Vanguard, SK on July 23, 1928 and attended Glenview Country School. He married Marie "Mary" Dyck on October 23, 1951 in Medicine Hat, AB. Edward was employed at the City of Swift Current until 1968, then farmed until he retired in 1996. Edward liked farming, fishing and reading, worked on vehicles - a lot! and had a passion for going to auctions to buy and sell numerous items. Edward enjoyed visiting with family and friends. He was the father of 6 children - 3 girls and 3 boys. Edward was married for 66+ years to his wife Mary. He had a very good sense of humour and loved to tease and joke around. He was very witty.
