David Larter Obituary

David Joseph Larter was born at the Swift Current Union Hospital on June 20, 1956. He peacefully passed away on November 16, 2018 at The Meadows. David's funeral was held at St. Stephen's Anglican Church on Friday November 23, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. A viewing for David was held at Warren's Funeral Home on Thursday November 22nd from 7 - 9 p.m. David enjoyed family trips to Hawaii, Disneyland, Disney World, and numerous trips to Las Vegas. David and Bambi were even planning a trip to Las Vegas once David regained his strength. David loved his trips to Calgary and Banff with Bambi and Mike. They would take him to the shows, the malls, Jubilations Dinner Theatre and the Casinos. David loved Bambi and Mike. He spent many hours with Bambi, going for coffee, to the movies, shopping for groceries and going to the Casino. David enjoyed breakfasts with Dan, fishing with Morley and visiting with Willard and Kim Ginter. David had a great sense of humour. He was kind and generous to his family , friends, and even to strangers. David enjoyed his visits with Vicki, Robyn, Doreen and Paul, Danielle and Ty, Andrew, Susan and Ron, and Diana and Stuart Andrews. David was proud to be a Legion member for 38 years. Thank you to all - especially Sheri - for being kind and helpful to David. David worked as a custodian for the Chinook School Division at the Comprehensive High School until he was put on early pension. He enjoyed his job very much. Thanks to everyone who attended David's funeral. Special mention to Danny Larter, Robyn Larter and Michael Langlois for travelling to Swift Current. We are very grateful to Dr. Sam Bakare for his care and concern to our whole family. Thanks to Monica and her Homecare staff, to Stephanie and her Meadows staff and to Unit 10, especially Diana, Wennie and Chantal, who spent extra hours sitting and visiting with David. Thanks to Pastor Linda Hall and the Anglican Church and ladies who provided the lunch. Thanks to Marilyn Smart for the kind words and goodies. Thanks to Greg Warren and Warren's Funeral Home for all the special attention and compassion that they showed. David was the love of his mother Eva's life. She spoiled and pampered him all of his life. He was a good son, brother, uncle, cousin and friend. He will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his family and all who were lucky to share in his life. Thanks to all of you for coming to share this special time with us by attending David's funeral. God bless you all from Eva, Crystal, and Bambi (Mike).
