Beverly Strand Obituary

Strand, Beverly Frances: It is with sadness that we announce the passing of our mother, Bev Strand, on Thursday June 13, 2019 at the age of 70. The memorial service was held at 2:00 p.m., June 22, 2019 from Herbert Living Faith Fellowship Church with Pastor Lincoln Vellacott officiating. The eulogists were Stephanie Dirkson and Dana Penner. The interment service was held at the Herbert Cemetery. The honorary pallbearers were Milah Dirkson, Shane Munroe, Alex Harden, Hayden Dirkson, Arianna Munroe, Emmerson Dirkson, Avery Gillis and  Bridgette Penner-Hitchens. Bev leaves to mourn her daughters, Shelly (Kevin) Large, Dana (Steven) Penner and Cathy Sait; grandchildren: Bryan, Danielle (Kyle), Stephanie (Chad), Dustin (Becky), Natasha(Mitch), Brody, Riley and Kelsey (Chris); great-grandchildren: Milah, Hayden, Emmerson, Shane, Alex, Arianna, Bridgette and Avery. She is survived by her brother, Raymond (Linda) Eberle; and sister, Gloria Malcolm; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Johnny and Janet Strand, Jim and Paulette Strand, Sharon Strand, Linda West and Mike Bolger; and numerous nieces and nephews, cousins, and many friends that were close to her heart. Bev was predeceased by her loving husband, Willy Strand in 2001, her parents, Frances (nee Lenius) and Gregory Eberle, twin sisters in infancy, mother-in-law and stepfather-in-law, Eva (nee Luchinski) and Ken Wishart, seven brothers-in-law and 3 sisters-in-law. Bev was born on July 29, 1948 in Regina and attended school at Osage Regina Highschool in Regina. She and William married on May 14, 1966. Bev had a huge heart, and lived by the words, "PAY IT FORWARD." She had a quirky sense of humour and had many silly stories to share, mostly about dad whom she missed dearly. Her biggest passion in life was her family and those considered family, who were guaranteed a call or a card each birthday. Grandkids and great grands were her focus; she was proud of each and every one of them. Her other passions included gardening, volunteering for various clubs and organizations including the Red Hat Society and MCC, and baking cinnamons buns, dinner buns and bread - she will be remembered for her baking! She also loved going for drives into the country looking at all the birds and landscape. Donations in her memory may be made to the Children's Hospital in Saskatoon, Jim Pattison Children's Hospital Foundation Inc., Memorial Donation, Suite 1, 345 3rd Avenue S., Saskatoon SK S7K 1M6. Warren's Funeral Home were entrusted with the arrangements.
